    Sam has to tear the words from his throat. “I think she raped me.”

    For a second there’s nothing but a terrible silence. Then Dean bursts into laughter. Sam can do nothing but watch as Dean cracks up–not even just giggles, full blown guffaws of mirth.

    “Yeah, alright,” Dean snickers. “Now be serious, Sam.”

The only reason he’s paused to give it thought at all is the location, where just two weeks prior, feral teeth sank deep and left him with what should have been (or what was, for all of an hour) a fatal wound.

    Or: Sam was brought back wrong, but it’s not that big of a deal. There are far more important things to worry about.
