Summary
A beast with a thick pelt, strong bones, and enough meat to feed a small army is not something to be admired or feared, not during the dead of winter. No. It’s a challenge. It’s a reward for knights and hunters alike, antsy from months locked away behind door sealed shut by snow, with nothing to do.

Summary
“Thanks for agreeing to take her Chris.” Leon sighs, leaning up against the frame of the apartment’s front door.
Chris looks up at him from where he’s kneeling in front of Emily, helping the blonde girl tighten the straps of her backpack.
“You don’t need to thank me for taking care of our family, Leon.” He retorts, standing up, lifting the girl’s overnight bag with him.
or
Grace is sick, like really sick. While Emily stays with Chris and Rosemary, Leon is on nurse duty, but is it really just a normal illness?

Summary
Up to this point in his life, Arthur has had the belief that sorcery is the darkest, most corruptive force on the face of the earth beaten into his mind through lectures, speeches, and grief-filled days where his father would all but lose himself to rage and despair. Though, all the hatred of sorcery had always been in theory. In practice…
Well…
It hadn’t been so bad, watching the soldiers carry the accused out of the castle, iron chains wrapped tight around her wrists. Seeing them bind her the pyre, stacked high with firewood from the castle’s store. Observing as they removed the gag from her mouth, offering her the chance for last words, though she did not elect to take it.
The boy watched with morbid curiosity. For goodness sake he jeered along with the crowd, clapped when his father spoke the sentence one final time, and stared, transfixed at the flickering torch in the knight’s hand before he lit the pyre.
And then the screams started.
Or
8-year-old Arthur Pendragon watches someone burn for the crime of sorcery for the first time.
25-year-old Arthur Pendragon watches his best friend sleep in his arms after he is revealed to be a sorcerer.

Summary
At some point the monster chasing Merlin had had names that meant something to him.
Percival
Elyan
Lancelot
Gwaine
Leon
ArthurBut not anymore. Now, the group of knights slinks through the forest at break-neck speed, with such a degree of practiced and lethal unison they may as well have been the golden dragon curled on each of their shoulders.
So Merlin is running.
Merlin is running for his life.
OR
Merlin accidentally reveals himself as a sorcerer to Arthur and the knights. A very traumatizing 24 hour sorcerer-hunt proceeds this, that leads to a very conflicted Arthur, a very injured Merlin, and a very angry Gwaine.

Summary
Whenever Grace was feeling down, she liked to imagine all the different ‘R’ Commanders, Captains and Operatives as the same mythical “superhero” BSAA soldier. It felt nice to imagine (if only for a moment) that wherever a bioweapon would spring up there would be an immovable soldier to meet its unstoppable force, saving the day.
But of course, no one person could do all that.Or:
The one where Grace cannot believe all the redacted BSAA Captains are the same guy who, along with his husband, highk kinda adopted her.
Originally thought of as a 5+1 but then I lost the plus one and gained the power of familial love instead.Bookmarked by Hazardous_Material
