“You?” Robby asked, visibly startled.
“Yeah,” Jack nodded, immediately committed to what was, at first, an impulsive thought. “Look, you said Janey had you do straightforward tasks. I can help you with that. It doesn’t have to be a thing.” Jack waved his hand between them, trying to quickly brush past some of the other ways Janey had helped Robby get out of his head.

Summary
Jack looked from the intern picture to Robby again, rubbing a tired hand over his eyes. "Jesus, this is like a recipe." He gestured between the picture and Robby, young and old. "It's like twink plus seasoning equals daddy. Fuck," he said, a kind of helpless note to it. Then he walked out, like he hadn't just dropped a bomb on Robby's head.

Summary
Dennis finds himself at a benefit dinner, wearing a busted suit, while the DJ is playing the worst remixes of early 2000's music. Everyone from his hospital is either shaking ass or drinking like it's their last night on earth, with the exception of his boss, Robby, who in a moment of sober spontaneity, asks his subordinate to dance with him. What follows is a tense night of will they/won't they while trying to maintain composure and professionalism in front of the entire medical community of Pittsburgh.

That's the last thing Jack wants. "Stay, please, you know you're always welcome."
Robby relaxes, and he carries on stirring
Jack interrupts the quiet once more with the other question that's been on the tip of his tongue.
"Why haven't you left?"
Robby freezes. He doesn't turn around, doesn't look at Jack, like it's easier to be honest this way.
"Because I think if I go, I won't come back."
