By the time Jonathan Lowell Spencer Storm turned fifteen, he was already the twentieth handsomest man alive.He was very, very aware of this fact, of course, because all of the boys and girls in his village swooned at his feet if he so much as smiled at them. It was really very tiring.
Johnny had to be careful about not smiling too frequently when he was out and about, or it would be simply impossible to get anywhere. The streets would be littered with his fainting suitors, and stepping over them became tedious rather quickly.
Johnny was never interested in any of his suitors. They were all dull, uninteresting, and not particularly witty. He hardly paid them any attention at all, unless he was stepping over them.

“So how did you figure out you were in love with your Johnny?” Peter asks.“Huh,” Elderly Peter says. “You know what, kid, it’s easier if I just show you.” He takes two steps over to the bed Peter's sprawled out on and whacks Peter on the back of the head, good and hard, and then barks, “You’re in love with him, you idiot!”
“Ow!” Peter complains, rubbing at the back of his head. “That hurt!”
“Well,” Elderly Peter says, not sounding very sorry at all, “you have a very thick skull. It’s going to take a while for that to sink in, but it will eventually.” He sighs. "Make that a very long while."

Johnny giggles. “He thinks this is super weird because he’s not dating his Johnny, duh,” he says, batting a hand at Spider-Man. “I bet he’s internally freaking out right now. It’s what you would do.”
Spider-Man cocks his head. “You’re not dating your Johnny?”
Peter startles back to life. “No!” he exclaims.
Peter meets a version of Johnny that’s dating him. He’s totally normal about it and doesn’t freak out at all.

Summary
The day after Johnny kissed him on top of the Statue of Liberty, Spider-Man disappeared. One year later, multimillionaire-in-the-making Peter Parker launches a company with his best friend, Harry Osborn. The last thing he needs is a complication like Johnny. But what was meant to be a one-night stand quickly spirals into something else, and everything is further turned upside-down when mysterious portals to another universe appear and they learn that there are two constants in the life of Johnny Storm: Peter Parker, and being left behind.
Johnny didn’t remember how it happened, or where he’d found the nerve. He remembered Spider-Man complaining about something, waving one hand, animated, over burgers and fries atop the Statue of Liberty. He remembered how soft Spider-Man’s lips had been, the indignant squawk that had come with him dropping his burger right off the statue, how his mouth had tasted of cheese and beef and onions, and Johnny hadn’t cared.

Johnny touched a hand to his hair – which, admittedly, felt a bit stiff. “You think I used too much?”
“I’m a real fan of Elvis, honest.” Spidey ruffled Johnny’s hair. Johnny could feel his flame curling in his stomach, his toes, and every inch that Spidey’s gloved hand touched. “But you might not wanna take styling tips from him.”
