Summary
Gale has this bad habit of shutting himself off after a particularly long day and Astarion hates it. All high and mighty he will saunter off towards his tent and engulf it in Darkness, draping it in Zone of Silence. It infuriates Astarion to no end, and so he sets out to let the wizard reap his due reward. Getting into his tent would be effortless.
(The first thing he hears are soft, almost whining pants, followed by a high pitched moan.)

After a lifetime of being clean-shaven, by Mystra's preference, Gale had used his beard as a tiny rebellion in his year of isolation. Now, after days of blood and gore and going without trimming, it needs to go - but he finds himself consumed by considering this a loss of self-control. In steps the always helpful ("helpful") Astarion to offer his assistance, and maybe letting the vampire go full barber in his tent is exactly what Gale needs to stop thinking about his ex for five minutes.

Or: in the DnD stream, Gale went to a spa and I couldn't get a bloodweave shaving fic out of my head until I wrote it down. So I wrote it down.

At that moment, it took all of Astarion's self-control not to slap some sense into that foolish wizard. Did he even realize what he was doing? While Astarion fought desperately to free himself from Cazador, Gale continued to find new ways to shackle himself to Mystra.
"Yes…" Astarion nodded with a stiff smile. "Somehow, I doubt I would."-
