Summary
All the world's a symphony, and what is a performance without its conductor?
Armed with a tech-based power that doesn't actually let her create any tech, Taylor Hebert dives headfirst into a deadly balancing act of appeasing the PRT's expectations while mitigating their fears, all the while working to expand her own power, and, by doing so, regain her autonomy. Will she learn how to trust people again and rise on her own terms, or burn out under the weight of her potential?

Summary
In theory, Shards aren't supposed to be able to merge with their host on a deep enough level to actually interact with them. In practice, Administration might be just a little too attached to her host. She can't help it if her host is the best and she wanted everyone to know it. Really, what's the worst that could happen?
Based on a conversation that asked the question: What if Taylor came out of the locker completely fused with QA

Alt!Power Taylor Hebert wakes up in an abandoned basement and proceeds upon a journey of transhuman self-discovery and escalation. Or, "Fuck you, I'm dragging Brockton Bay to a post-scarcity society whether it likes it or not." Minor crossover with Eclipse Phase.

Summary
Taylor Hebert is dead.
Probably.
She woke after the locker in a version of Brockton Bay Central Library that does not exist, surrounded by books made of data and a city built from networks. As far as Taylor can tell, she is haunting the internet.
It could be worse, the Library is quiet, and the books are endless. If she ignores the loneliness, she can almost pretend this is peace.
Then curiosity leads her through a door she was never meant to open, and something vast turns its head.
Taylor thinks a dragon is hunting her.
Dragon thinks she has discovered a newborn artificial intelligence—frightened, alone, and running for its life.
Neither of them understands what Taylor has become. But Dragon has never been very good at leaving frightened children alone.
