Summary
“That behaviour isn’t something we’ve talked about before,” his therapist says, because she loves to state the obvious. “Can you tell me more about making yourself throw up?”
“Why?” Shane sounds too angry about that. He schools his voice into something more even. “It’s not, like, a thing. I was being dramatic, I know that.”
Technically, therapy is voluntary. Today, it very much does not feel voluntary.
OR,
Shane tries to talk himself out of a corner during his therapy session.

"Rozy," Brian, the team doctor says, "talk to me, buddy. That puck clipped you pretty good, how’s the pain?"
Ilya blinks. He clenches his jaw against a wave of nausea. He rests his cheek on the ice, and the cold helps a little.
"Bad. Very bad." He swallows. "Is Shane here?"
