Summary:
When Obi-Wan dies by Anakin's hand, he expects that to be the end.
It is not.
When he opens his eyes again, all of thirteen but with forty extra years of experience, not even the dust, dread, and death on Melidaan can stand in his way. John Walker wakes up in bed with a mystery person, who turns out to not be a mystery and most confusedly, not be a woman. Something about him feels different too. Confusion, questions, with revelations and a foreign intimacy rattle John senseless. He is a man of rules, and he’s broken two of them already. John needs to leave. The not mystery person then wakes up. John Walker doesn’t leave that bed for a long time.
But afterwards he starts to learn. Maybe he still does deserve some good things in his life. Maybe some rules should be broken.
