Summary
Alastor has been missing for nearly five years by the time Vox sees him again, which happens to be in a fuck-or-stay-stuck limbo. Alastor looks like shit. He's fascinatingly, concerningly, weaker than Vox has ever seen him. In the forced proximity they have a long overdue and painful conversation about feelings, and if they don’t want to stay trapped in time forever then there is no putting off the inevitable.

"If Angel didn’t know any better, he’d say Alastor looks even more unhinged than normal right now. Which is stupid, obviously, because Alastor has ‘never felt better’, as he likes to keep reminding them all, despite nearly dying to Adam’s holy bullshit just a few weeks ago. There’s just… something manically heightened in his eyes. Something weird in what Angel thinks is the lightest sheen of sweat on his brow, the tiny tightening of his lips as he grins that eerie grin, the way he doesn’t quite make eye-contact anymore. It’s the way his voice crackles with static, and the whine of it doesn’t totally disappear when he’s silent. Maybe it’s just Angel’s hard won expertise in reading the tiny changes of the body language of powerful, dangerous overlords for survival; but something’s definitely going on with the Radio Demon."

Vox knows Alastor is being sarcastic. He knows. And usually, he’d be able to shrug it off.
But he’s so damn beaten down already, the words are like a knife to the heart, making him bleed.
“I don’t want your fucking gloating,” he snarls. “You won. Is that what you wanted to hear? You were right about me, and I’ve failed, again, like you told me I would. Big fucking hurray to you. Go celebrate your victory with Princess Friendship.”

‘We could,’ agrees Alastor, once again crushing Important Things on Vox’s desk. ‘The metal walkway sounds quite appealing!’
‘Or,’ he continues, ‘you can let Smiles take us somewhere nicer, where he’s not gonna make me edge ya for the next three hours because you’ve put him in a mood.’
‘I can leave,’ Vox says. He threatens this by glitching, skin glowing with blurry blue binary code as he half-phases out.

Vox gets ahold of Alastor's soul, and he intends to take full advantage of his new acquisition. Unfortunately, his feelings for the man make everything a bit more complicated. But Alastor might just come to realize that Vox owning his soul isn't actually the worst thing.

Alastor cries. "How cruel! How could you treat me like this, Husker?!"

Husk throws his arms in the air. Al whimpers pitifully, and very dramatically crawls to safety with all the grace of a drunk, well...deer.
"He's so mean to me!"
"I know, baby..." Angel coos. He quickly scoops the doe up into his lap using his secondaries. Al sways drunkenly, but is caught with many hands before he goes plummeting to the floor. Said hands, immediately get wondery. "Want me ta' make it betta'?"
The line...somehow works? Alastor pouts and blinks his noticeably dry eyes at Husk, before turning back and nodding like a slut. Angel gropes his tiny waist, and gently tilts the doe's jaw with one hand and leans in to—
Aaaand...they're making out. Sloppily, and with a lot of tongue. It's kinda embarrassing actually, like they were a couple of unsupervised teenagers.
