Summary
A magnetic event of some kind has temporarily knocked out most electronics onboard and forced Rocky into a coma. Grace now has to navigate first contact with Erid alone, with no software to translate his words to the Eridians at the space elevator until Mary can run diagnostics on everything. But he’s not panicking! He can still speak (simplified, childish) Standard Equatorial Ran, so this should still be salvageable. Sure, he doesn't sound that great, but they can understand him. Right?
The alien child believes the engineer is its mate, and the ships logs have records of the crimes committed. The situation is dire. Immediate intervention is needed.

Summary
When Valentino breaks up with Vox for the nth time and refuses to hear any apologies, Vox realizes he needs some outside help to fix things. Finding that help was easier said than done. After flying through six separate therapists with increasingly worse advice (ranging from suggesting a leucotomy before their session had even begun, to offering to kill Valentino), Vox was getting desperate. So, when he learned about Angel Dust moving into a rehab clinic (hotel?) focused on redeeming Sinners of any and all vices, Vox figured it couldn't hurt to look into the place.
The Princess of Hell is delighted to offer him her assistance. She's sure she can help Overlord Vox get into Heaven— oh, uh? Not Heaven? He wants to stay in Hell forever...? Well, that's not really what this hotel is about, but... She appreciates that he wants to be a better person, and that's a great first step!
