    Ilya’s mouth fell open a little. “It is 2017 Shane and your father has no idea I am here. I should hide.”

    “No!” Shane reached out and took Ilya’s hand. “Wait, if you really think it’s 2017-”

    “It is 2017, Shane,” Ilya interrupted him.

    He’d forgotten what he was going to say because Shane’s left hand was suddenly in his field of vision. He stared at it, stunned. There was no ring on his finger. There wasn’t even that little tan line that was always there when he took it off. How had he not noticed it was gone? Shane always noticed when his ring wasn’t there. Could feel its absence acutely, whenever he had to take it off which was almost never.

    “Ilya when did we first say ‘I love you’ to each other?” Shane asked slowly.

    “Yesterday,” Ilya replied. “What is going on Shane?”

    Shane sank to his knees on the dock, his head in his hands. They weren't married. His parents didn't even know about Ilya yet. They were still rival hockey players who lived in different countries and Shane felt like his heart was breaking.

    Married, happy Shane from 2022 travels back in time to his and Ilya’s first summer at the cottage.

He wants to retire a Voyager, he wants to be a Voyager, he’s always wanted to be a Voyager. But he can’t turn back time, and he can’t make himself think that the environment is going to magically get better. He’s already muted the Montreal Voyagers chat after too many jokes at his expense. If they’re that confident behind a screen, who knows how they’ll feel in person. He’s their captain. He should be better than this. This shouldn’t be getting to him. He wants to stop thinking about this. He wants Ilya."

    Shane gets outed to Montreal a lot earlier than he originally planned to (aka never). The plan he and Ilya made needs to change drastically, as Shane finds himself the one trading teams instead of Ilya. Some things stay the same, but some things change.

    Talia Hale survives the Hale Fire, along with Laura, Derek, Peter, and Cora. It's been roughly ten years since the events of that night, and to say that it left scars would be an understatement. Desperate to bring her Pack back to its old strength, Talia will not stop pushing her children and brother to settle down and have kids of their own. For this year's Cold Moon, Peter finally brings someone home.

    Stiles is not at all what Talia was expecting. He's far too young for Peter, he's human, and worst of all a man. (No biological children to carry on the Pack). He also doesn't give a shit what Talia says about him. His mere presence is enough to have her melting down, and it's bad for the simmering tension between her and the rest of the Pack. Unfortunately, everyone else likes him.

    Derek might like him more than the rest. A little too much. Aw hell, he has a crush on his uncle's boyfriend. But maybe that's okay, because there is something off about Peter and Stiles that Derek just can't quite put his finger on.

    Or: Five times Peter brought Stiles to a Full Moon Run to mess with Talia + One time Derek brought Stiles to a Full Moon Run for real.
