So does Shen Yuan.

Whether the boy would have the nerve to fight back or the wisdom to restrain himself, Shen Yuan doesn’t know, because he’s reached them all before that happens. Out of breath - he can’t remember the last time he ran anywhere, he thinks he literally vaulted over a bench - he comes to a stop, laying a hand on his eldest brother’s shoulder.

He might swat him for the insult, except he’s just a transparent hologram projecting into Shen Yuan’s living room at the moment - they don’t even live in the same solar system, after all. (Technically Shang Qinghua isn’t on a planet at all, but instead stuck on an absolutely frigid moon orbiting some bumfuck planet lightyears away. Shen Yuan, an Original Earth inhabitant, quietly has no idea how he can stand it.) “He cooks as well.”

Now, he feels a scream like that deep down in the pit of his throat, and yet it won’t come out. It’s stuck there, forever. Xiao-Jiu-- Yue Qingyuan won’t even be able to hold his bones. How could he fail so horribly? How could he--?
“But young master, are you certain that your brother is dead? He might be one of the survivors.”

Wait wait wait wait.
What!?
Where is this coming from??
What did he do, System!? Lying in bed like a lump on a log, not moving or speaking as he tries and fails to drift to sleep, what could he conceivably be doing that would merit a punishment!? And where do you get off, barging in to dole out reprimands out of nowhere when you’ve been radio silent for the last few years! Is the plot over or isn’t it???
“Mn.” Plastered to his side like sticky rice as per usual, a needy arm curled around his waist to keep him close and make sure that he can’t wander off without waking him, Luo Binghe stirs slightly as Shen Qingqiu stiffens with rage. “Husband…?”
Shen Qingqiu opens his mouth to reassure him, but his voice completely refuses to leave his throat. And that’s when it appears.
1. “Get off, you’re suffocating me.” (Coldly push him away.)
2. “Husband, I’m feeling a little restless~” (Turn into him seductively.)
3. “It’s nothing, just a bad dream.”-
The System gets inventive, and Shen Qingqiu has to work with limited options.
