Dazai stood with his fist buried through the center of the glass, head bent toward the broken reflection. Cracks radiated around his hand like a gauzy spiderweb, fragmenting his half-obscured face into a dozen distorted pieces: one enormous, ink-black eye, half a smile, the pale sliver of a cheek. Blood welled between the bandages over his knuckles and ran down the silvered surface of the mirror.
The snow on his eyelashes had long since melted.
“Are you out of your fucking mind?” Chuuya snapped.
Most of the blood wasn’t Dazai’s. The shaking was—and the nausea, and the paranoia, and the look he kept giving the locked door as though something on the other side knew his name.
Chuuya could tolerate the blood of an unknown dead man. It was everything else he had no use for.
(or: dazai runs out of antipsychotics, hasn’t slept in four days, and his reflection has started moving without him. chuuya is having a pretty shit night too.)

"Sp'nce..." Aaron’s voice was a rough, cracked rasp, barely carrying across the pillows. "Why... why am I like this?"
Spencer paused his hand on Aaron's back, tilting his head slightly. "Like what?"
"This," Aaron muttered, a flicker of self-deprecating frustration crossing his pale face. He looked down at the hand still clinging desperately to Spencer's shirt, his thumb rubbing uncertainly against the fabric. "Acting like... like a child. Being so... needy. I don't understand it. I’ve never... I don't know how to do this."
Spencer’s heart ached. He shifted closer, pulling Aaron’s upper body just a little higher so he could rest comfortably against Spencer’s chest. "You aren't acting like a child, Aaron. You're sick. You have a raging flu and you've been throwing up all day. It is completely human to want comfort when you feel like this."

Aaron has the flu and Spencer is there to nurse him back to health.
