Naruto lifted his chin slightly and whispered - testing and a little defiant - a “My life is mine to risk” into the silence of the library.
“Is it?”, Sasuke breathed softly. The words were barely more than breath. And they sounded so seductive that Naruto’s heart skipped a beat.“As I said”, Sasuke continued - and his voice became deeper and rougher and took on an undertone that bordered dangerously close on desire and yet still sounded almost royal, “You disobey your commander’s orders.”
“So it seems the prince himself will have to give you orders” - and suddenly the entire atmosphere changed so rapidly and so inevitably that it almost hurt and stole his breath, “And you will obey them - you will obey me.”

Summary
Buck wants to be Eddie’s too. It’s a visceral want, crawling up his throat, choking him with its needy hands. Buck loves Eddie so much it’s become its own creature. A living, breathing thing that’s burrowed in his bones. They’ll cut him open and it will all come pouring out– red syrup, a mind of its own, fat with greed for Eddie. Insatiable. This love is the centre of him. It’s the point of him.
As he falls asleep, Buck wishes that, if he can’t tell Eddie, he could show Eddie just how much love he holds inside of him.

Summary
Sasuke Uchiha is yet to meet his mate, but there are several things he could already tell you about him.
This man would be handsome, obviously. Sasuke himself was not bad on the eyes, and Sasuke had standards. But having standards didn’t mean he was shallow, so looks were not all that mattered to him. Oh no, Sasuke’s mate would also need to be intelligent, someone who Sasuke would be able to spend hours talking to about everything and anything.
He would be successful, but also supportive. Someone who wouldn’t feel threatened by Sasuke’s own success or expect him to shrink himself to make room for theirs. Someone Sasuke would be able to share all the wins and losses life came with, without jealousy or resentment.
But above all, Sasuke’s mate — his handsome, smart, successful mate, whoever he is — must be a brave man, because he was already testing him.
Or, Sasuke knew his mate was out there somewhere, so how long, exactly, did the bastard intend to make him wait?

The man blinks at him. He looks over his shoulder, like Buck might be talking to someone else in this cursed, tiny airport. He looks back, confused. “I’m the handsome stranger?” He clarifies.
Buck shrugs, going for nonchalance. “If you want to be.”
