Summary
Tom has always had a unique life style in his world, one of being a comical failure no matter how hard he tried, he's always been stuck in a cycle of chasing a little mouse, a longtime rival named Jerry. But he always ended up failing in comical fashion when trying to catch him, he's been flattened, turned to dust, vaporized and reformed, all the kind of comedic ways one could fail in theatrical fashion. But one day, all of that just suddenly.. stopped.
When he was in a race with Jerry so he could try to win a mansion after their last chase got his owner's home destroyed and was evicted, during a part where he raced underwater, he crashed into an iceberg when he tried taking a shortcut, and he couldn't escape it, and for the first time, when he lost one of his 9 lives, this one actually felt real, and everything went dark.
But when Tom woke up, down 3 lives now, he found himself in a world that was nothing like his own, he found himself in a much more grounded, realistic world where his usual style is gone. As he ended up going to a school known as Cherryton Academy in a world of anthro animals, and he could hopefully finally find real friends who can support him, and break away from the cycle of failure.
