Summary
Loid Forger died 18 years ago.
After two decades away, Twilight returns to Ostania as a worn‑down shadow of the legendary spy he once was. The country he left behind has changed, hardened, and grown more dangerous. The SSS have only improved their capabilities and WISE is on its last legs.
As Twilight settles into another new life, old memories resurface with brutal clarity. The ghosts of Operation Strix begin to haunt him in ways he can no longer ignore. The family he left behind has become a battlefield scarred by sorrow, guilt, and regret. His daughter had changed in ways he couldn't have imagined. His past and present collide as he searches for missing allies, and confronts the emotional fallout of the life he abandoned.
Will he be able to reforge his family? Or is that a dream that will remain unfulfilled.

Summary
This story is a continuation of canon (to the best of my abilities) and of the fancomic Twilight vs Thorn Princess by Lydia Ling. Following their battle, the Forgers return home with their identities revealed. They must now understand what hidden events led to Twilight being tracked by Thorn Princess, who has Garden been serving all along and what led to Anya having her telepathic ability. And, more importantly, how to make it on the other side of the incoming conflict, together, and continue living as a Family.

Summary
There's a boy still running across that street. Sixteen years old, ammunition boxes in his hands, his corporal's blood cooling against his cheek. He's been running for almost twenty years. The man who came back, Twilight, Loid Forger, whoever he is now, he left that boy behind.
Had to.
You can't build a life carrying a child soldier with you. Except he's still there. In the dreams. In the flinch when artillery sounds like thunder. The war ended but the boy never stopped running.
Never made it across.
The man walks through Berlint and pretends he's whole, for the mission, but he left half of himself bleeding in that street.
