Stephanie balks at him as if he just suggested that she go skydiving without a parachute.
“Are you crazy?!” The teenager scoffs. “Going by yourself to the Gotham Mall? As a sixteen-year-old girl? That’s basically asking to get kidnapped and sex trafficked!”
Clark almost chokes on his own spit. “Stephanie, I would never want that to happen to you. I would never let that happen to you.”
