Summary
Aster sighed, putting a hand to his head. He had gotten an answer, he now knew what was so dangerous about this phenomenon. Even if he could never be allowed to look at it, he should’ve been satisfied due to the circumstances.
But it only opened up thousands of new questions.
What determines the severity of the mutations? Does one need to view it directly? Is acknowledgement of the entity required for the effects to take hold? How do mutations vary? Are they truly random, or is there a pattern?
Even if he had a rough start with the group, he planned to stay with the astronomers. He needed to stay. He needed to find answers, even if it destroyed him.
Curiosity filled every cell of his body, and Aster planned to satiate it by any means necessary.
~
Aster was always driven by his desire to learn, and it haunted him even at the world’s end. One question that haunted him endlessly, however, was how exactly the gaze of The Visitor worked.Of course, it inevitably leads him down a horrible, inexplicably bright pink path.

Summary
They say some of the best photos can be taken when everything is at its most natural state. Maybe that's why none of your photos ever came out right.
There’s this thing about working in a dark room for god knows how long.
You tend to forget yourself, submerge yourself into the art of photography like you’re a photo yourself. Time slows to a halt; All that matters is you and this delicate process. It's something you’ve got down like a way in.
Developer, fixer, stop bath. The chemicals sting your eyes from how little you’ve blinked, like camera lenses set aside. Nothing to magnify the unwitting muse, your longest obsession. It’s almost a fever dream now, the first time you snapped a photo of him.

Summary
Morton blinked a few times, seeming to finally register what had fallen out of his bag. "No no!" The cricket waved his hands defensively, "These are ehhh…"
He snatched up the keys with a delicate claw, cocking his head to the side to read what the tag said. As his eyes seemingly scanned the tag, something about his demeanour… shifted. He straightened up ever so slightly. Clawed hands curling tighter. Eyes widening. "…These are my apartment keys." his voice was… off.
---
After a regular day of collecting his junk, Morton stumbles upon a set of keys he seemingly recognises. Seemingly owns. And so, Morton and his newly found friends investigate this so-called apartment of his. Or; what if Morton had a Companion Quest?

A really really solid Morton fic that leaves me stunned by how well it is written.
