“Elves kiss differently, you know.”
Gale blanched as he quickly sat up straight. “They do?!”
“Of course,” Astarion said smoothly, watching his friend squirm. “If you’re worried about making a fool of yourself, we could always practice first. Nothing to lose your head about." He sighed as if the thought wasn't something he'd fantasized about since that night on the roof.
The prince nearly toppled off the bed. “You mean… practice kissing? With me? And you?"
Astarion rolled his eyes, again, and shrugged. “It won't mean anything, obviously. Like learning your letters, or your dancing steps.” He sat up, eyes meeting Gale's and hoping the boy couldn't read into his desperate plea to accept.

Alistair is damn near 15 years old now. And though not near adulthood in elven years, he certainly is by the general populus’s standards. His elven father was essentially assimilated by human society long ago and cared very little about all the pomp and circumstance of cultural ties to his place of birth, Evereska. Yet despite that, he seems to use that against him whenever it is convenient.

Summary
Of all the times Maekar had imagined what the seven hells would be like, it had never looked like this.
He had been so certain that the Stranger had come to meet him at last. The greeting came in waves: one moment, pain; the next, a queer, wet feeling along the side of his head; then a scream. It reached him in fragments that splintered and sharpened like knives which lodged in his memory, growing keener with each breath until they were sharp enough to draw blood. And then, suddenly, he remembered another scream—from the same mouth, from forever ago.
In an afterlife where most look to be the same age they died; Maekar doesn’t understand why he only looks 35 years old.
After his death, Maekar reconnects with his family, and fulfills an old promise.

Not far from Creche Y'llek, Gale sits near the edge of a ravine contemplating what to do about Mystra's directive on using the orb. But as he stares at the night sky, his mind focuses on Astarion, the man he is hopelessly in love with.
Concerned for Gale's well-being, Astarion leaves camp to search for him across the craggy terrain. It doesn't take Astarion long to find Gale and join him on the mossy rocks, discussing the drastic choice presented to him regarding the orb.
After travelling together for almost two months, feelings that had steadily grown bubble to the surface, prompting a long overdue conversation between them.

Astarion stared at him for a long moment, then very deliberately set down what he had been holding, as if distance alone might improve his ability to process reality. “Start again. Slower. Preferably with fewer crimes against logic.”
“I didn’t steal it,” Gale said immediately, offended on principle more than anything else. “I found it.”
Astarion blinked once. “You found it.”
