In which Inquisitor Adaar saved Warden Alistair Therin at Adamant, and Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall, faced the Nightmare alone. In which Commander Shepard, paragon until the end, destroyed the Reapers at the expense of her own life.

It's not the first time Shepard has fought her way out of the afterlife, but it is the first time she's had help.

    Summary

Everyone agreed that he'd been such a promising kid before he'd settled. But that hadn't lasted long: his soul had declared herself to be entirely the wrong sort of animal. He was not a home-loving house mouse; nor even a house sparrow, happily rubbing shoulders with his brothers; he was weasel-souled, and that meant an uncomfortable husband.

    Or,

In a world where your soul is represented as an animal familiar, half-foots have mouse and sparrow souls - and are nearing extinction. Chilchuck Tims has a least weasel daemon. This is the first stone in a landslide.

This a DaemonAU and standalone companion to His Delicious Materials. No prior knowledge of His Delicious Materials or His Dark Materials required.

Geralt took up monster hunting with the expectation it would be mostly, well, hunting monsters. Not bringing mildly-traumatised vampires home and making them tea.

Incredible how well the characters work in this crossover, very well done. Regis absolutely suits the black ribboner vibe.

    Summary

“How did you manage,” asked Geralt, with infinite patience and only a desire to know the facts, and not at all a little meanhearted glee, “to insult a sorcerer while his tongue was down your throat?”

“Don’t make me recount the entire sordid affair, Geralt,” said Jaskier, with a surprising note of desperation breaking through his gruff monotone. “I’m already having a rather shit day and all I’ve done so far is wake up.”

    “In my body,” said Geralt.

“Yes,” said Jaskier, with the insolent cadence that was unmistakably Jaskier’s, but in Geralt’s voice, emerging from Geralt’s face and frame.

“And I’ve got yours,” said Geralt, from Jaskier’s.

Extremely fun VtM fic with original characters and the riotous pacing of a very fun home table game.
