The backup is "complete" as of 18 November 2023, however the tracking of metas is continuing. Incorporation / updates will come first to the Google Doc, and then the updates posted in the relevant chapter here.
This is not my individual work. It points to over 100 fans contributions to understanding the layered meanings in the book and show.
I'm happy to add contributors as co-creators, add links to your AO3 work, or other recognition as you wish. I'm not entirely sure where to find Tumblrs on AO3, but will be working to add those links where they are clear.

Welcome to Eastgate Museum and Institution.
Anthony Crowley knows what wanting looks like. He’s spent years finding it in art of the Baroque and Renaissiance: parted lips, outstretched hands carrying bowed heads and knees pressed into the ground.
Then museum director Dr. Aziraphale Fell comes across Crowley’s work and invites him to lecture at Eastgate. Wanting becomes surrender, surrender becomes trust, and Crowley discovers there is a difference between studying desire and having someone study him with the same attention.
“Aziraphale leaned back slightly and studied the man across from him. He had spent hours with Crowley’s words, following them through paintings and bodies caught forever in the act of reaching.
“When did you first see it?”
Crowley frowned. “See what?”
“The pleasure.”

Summary
Anthony J. Crowley is at South Downs Summer Festival and staying at his friend and mentor Nina's cottage for the two-week event. He's hoping that the new scenery and being around his fans will give him the drive he needs to finish his next album, as long as his producer and ex Lucian doesn't hear that he's in the South Downs instead of the studio in London.
Fiddle prodigy Azira Fell just needs something to go right with her life. After spending her teens and twenties in the group Celtic Angels, she decided to go solo with her fiddle skills in an effort to completely reinvent herself. So, she decides to do something risky and agrees to perform at South Downs Summer Festival, where she's also staying at Nina's place.
Despite Crowley and Azira initially butting heads when they first arrive at the cottage, little do they know that they've been pining and writing songs about each other for years…

Museums, book fairs, theatre intervals, traffic jams, country walks—wherever they go, Crowley has an Emergency Snack tucked into his coat pocket.
Aziraphale thinks it’s rather sweet.
Crowley insists it’s just practical.

"I'm in a bit of a pickle, my dear," Aziraphale said over the telephone.
Crowley was seized by immediate fury. Not even a decade, and they're at it again, he thought viciously. You'd think they'd be embarrassed enough to stay out of things for a few centuries at least, after botching the apocalypse like that.
"Who's done something to you?" hissed Crowley.
"Ah," said Aziraphale, in the quiet tone of someone who didn't mean to learn someone else's secrets and was mildly sheepish about it. "This crossword clue -- I'm stuck -- 1980s French fencer, thought you might know. It's eight letters and has a Q in it."
"Trinquet," Crowley snapped, in the tone of someone who had revealed one of his secrets and was annoyed about it.
