Jack Crawford repeated, “No further questions!” at the top of his lungs like a mantra. The way a child would, in combination with ears covered and eyes screwed shut, to block out an unpleasant sound.

Summary
The last they remembered - it was 1947.
Charles and Raven were preparing to go overseas for Charles' start of University.
Erik was in the midst of hunting down the man that killed his mother and turned him into a monster.
Nothing is easy but it's exactly the way it should be, mistakes and all.
Then suddenly everything is different. They're in clothes that don't fit. They're surrounded by people in inexplicable costumes and with strange abilities just like their own. And the world doesn't make sense anymore.
Apparently that's because it's over seventy five years into the future.
So in addition to figuring out what happened to the world they knew, they have to try to learn to navigate this new one.
