The man lifts exhausted eyes to whatever approximates the sky, wherever they are. “Never a dull moment,” he sighs, and then turns his eyes back to Law. “Hello, Law,” he says.
“Who,” Law curses his own tongue-tiredness, swallows heavily, and then continues with as angry a bite as he can manage, “Who are you?”
The man raises his eyebrows. “Oh, come on, kid. Both of us know you don’t need to ask that.” He wiggles his fingers, the D-E-A-T-H tattoos still stark, for how faded they are. “I’m you. Just older.”
Law meets himself, from a future he cannot fathom ever being a reality. His future self proceeds to tell him a lot of things he needs to hear, in the only way he knows Law will listen to them.

He lands a ways away from the unconscious Portgas D. Ace and calls Pops.
“Remember when we lost track of Fire Fist at Sabaody? Apparently he made it to the New World, but too soon. Looks like he lost his crew and ship; he definitely needs help, yoi.”
A laugh, jolly and bright; the den den mimics Whitebeard almost perfectly, except for the mustache it cannot completely correctly imitate. “Looks like you’re getting a new brother!”
Or, Portgas D. Ace meets another Emperor before the Whitebeard Pirates find him.

But for some godforsaken reason, Law isn’t furious and storming away; no, his expression goes from shock to dawning glee, and then he’s laughing as Rocinante’s face catches on fire and he wishes he could melt through the floor. Law’s laugh is as nice as the rest of him, because of fucking course it is, warm and pleased and showing off sharp teeth. “Well, if your calendar is that open, let me take you to Volcano Dish. Tomorrow night at six.”
Rocinante stares dumbly as he attempts to process what Law actually means, because surely the most gorgeous man on the planet didn’t just order Rocinante on a date in thirty-six hours.
Rocinante runs into a man at the gym, somehow gets asked out, and buys the nicest underwear he’s ever owned with the goal of having it taken off of him. Coralaw Week 2026 day 6: inexperience.

Summary

When Luffy makes a mad dash to rescue his brother from certain death, he sets off a chain of events that makes the very foundations of that realm shudder. Soon, he's got several other people along for the ride, and the situation quickly spirals out of control. There's something the people in power aren't saying, and it might be the key to all the strange events that keep happening around them.
Luffy just wants adventure and fun and freedom. Law just wants to be left alone to live his life. Kid wants to never be beholden to someone else again. And Ace just wants some goddamn agency for once.
But there are other entities in the Wild with agendas of their own, and they don't care about what others want at all.
