Summary
Before the tadpole, Astarion never expected to ever be free of Cazador. He definitely never expected to fall in love with an Sun elf cleric of Seluné with a love for botany, or be courted by a gigantic druid. Now his cleric's goddess has granted him and his siblings the opportunity to be cured of vampirism and fully free. All he has to do is be patient, gather the materials, and continue to be a hero thanks to the follies of his partner. Healing may not be a fast journey but no one said it couldn't be an adventure.

Summary
On the road between Gresit and Târgoviște, the world is ending slowly. Burning cities, night creatures, and people strung up by their entrails.
So naturally, Sypha drags them to a festival.
There’s booze and far too much laughter in a town on the cusp of collapse. Trevor tries not to think too hard about anything. Not about purpose, nor about loneliness, and absolutely not about the dhampir watching him a little too closely across the crowd.
Some things are easier to ignore in the dark. Alas, some things are not.

Just as they start thinning the crowd, Trevor dripping with sweat and viscera and exhaustion, another wave appears and he curses loudly. Despite his failing vision, he can see Sypha faltering, can see Alucard’s unnatural paleness and the shaking in his hands. It hits him, then, like jumping into a river in the middle of winter. It chills him to the bone and makes his heart clench with an emotion he does not want to name. He fights with a renewed vigor, if only to make time.
He’s starting to lose it, lose time, lose himself to the repetition of slashing and slicing and stabbing.
Or: in which the trio is thrown backwards and, unfortunately, can't keep things a secret.

In a final battle with his father, D is thrust into the Castlevania Universe, and he can't get back without help. Only Alucard has the means, but inviting D to stay while they work together has consequences
