Summary
Jason didn't think much of it when his jacket miraculously kept the winter frost at bay, or when his scraped knees stitched themselves together a little faster than medical science allowed. He just assumed everyone in Gotham could do things like that.
The rude wake-up call came in the form of a trench-coated, chain-smoking British man named John Constantine, whom Batman was currently in the process of forcibly booting out of Gotham city limits. Hearing Bruce vehemently growl about how much he despised magic, occultists, and everything they touched was all the motivation Jason needed to shove his own abilities deep into the closet and lock the door.
He was just a regular kid. Absolutely nothing to see here.
Or Jason Todd, growing up with magic, unintentionally gets himself recruited by the Justice League Dark while "trying" to hide his magic and getting addicted to summoning artifacts, random entities, and members of the Justice League Dark.

Summary
There was a saying among the family: “All Robins fall for Catlad.” Tim blames Dick, Dick who made constant heart-eyes to Catlad leaving a legacy impossible break.
Honestly? It was embarrassing.

Summary
Saliva floods Bruce's mouth and he forces himself not to spit, not to vomit. He considers sedation so he does not have to hear Jason say anything like this again. A great, yawning chasm inside him eats up all the sound. His heartbeat pounds, pounds, pounds. Sometimes--sometimes Bruce remembers that he took his little boy and he put him in a box and put that box in the ground.

Summary
Dick and Jason clock the guy at the same time - lingering too close, his attention fixed on Damian and Stephanie. They lock eyes for barely a second. Nothing is said, nothing needs to be. Jason shifts, Dick moves, and without hesitation, they fall into step.
Or: Six times Jason and Dick were there for (or with) each other and one time Jason couldn't be.

Summary
When Jason Todd is thirteen, a Talon rips his throat out for trying to steal the tires off of the President of Gotham's car. He survives. At twenty, he's a sworn member of the League of Assassins and the CEO of a brand new company, all set to make his return to Gotham and take the revenge he's lived the last seven years of his life dreaming of. All he has to do is make the right approach.
When Richard Grayson was sixteen, he killed a boy in an alley. As far as he was concerned, that was the end of it.

Summary
Jason's never really thought of himself as anything special. He's one soldier among thousands, and he's never been one of the rank-climbing sons of noble families, looking to earn honor and as high a position as possible to serve their country. He's just him; street-born and raised.
When the kingdom begins ceremonies to find a shadow for the prince, Jason doesn't expect to get that far. He certainly doesn't expect to become one of the chosen finalists, or to actually meet the about-to-be-crowned prince face to face. It's just a meeting though. He'd never actually be chosen for such a prestigious position, right?

Summary
One of the thugs trying to sneak up behind Robin stoops low, comes back up swinging at Robin's unprotected back with a fucking crowbar—
Metal clatters against the ground; the body follows it a second later.
Jason lifts his finger from the trigger.
Robin whirls, taking in the body dropped with a headshot. With a scowl, Jason kneecaps the idiots trying to take out Robin from behind again.
[or: Jason, newly returned to Gotham as the Red Hood, keeps accidentally helping out the Bats. It's really frustrating.]

Summary
The Red Hood is a mystery. Someone that came into Gotham out of nowhere and immediately carved out a piece of Black Mask's territories for himself, establishing himself almost immediately as someone to be respected. By all accounts, he's highly skilled, efficient, and incredibly dangerous. And no one has any idea who he is.

Summary
At the snap, he drags his gaze up from the book to Bruce's devastatingly open face. The man who's made a life out of being unreadable, showing his pain and grief and guilt so openly to the son who could so easily and happily take advantage of it, throws Jason for a loop.
But no more so than Bruce's next four words.
“The Joker is dead.”
— — —
Or, after being kidnapped by the Joker, everybody believes that Jason killed him. Jason loses his mind trying to prove his innocence, Dick is staying silent about what he saw, Bruce is juggling his love for his black sheep son and his morals, and Steph is there to smack Jason for being a self destructive idiot.

"Well, they gassed us, obviously—your heartbeat and respiration seem unimpaired aside from the forced sedation—makes me think it might be that shit Tommy was working with last I heard, but I haven't crossed paths with him anywhere near recent." Jason stands, starts feeling along the wall, breath audible. "I woke up about three minutes before you, no idea how long we were out." He clears his throat. "We appear. To have been Cask of Amontillado'd."

Summary
There's no way he could pass for Dick’s actual brother and he’s got the face of a shell-shocked cartoon mouse — but not the cutesy mice, the ones in the old 80's movies that gave Dick nightmares as a child. That plus the fact the Drake kid’s got a thick New Jersey accent he can’t shake and that Dick doesn’t look grown-up enough to be toting around a preteen is sure to get people asking questions. Or worse. So Dick hauls Tim in by the strap on his backpack, steps onto the shoulder, sticks his thumb skyward toward the cloudless cornflower blue of middle America in summer, and prays whoever pulls over lies somewhere boring on the sliding scale between serial killer and snitch.
Dick Grayson turns 20 on March 20th, Jason Todd dies on April 27th, and by May 23rd, Bruce Wayne's ward-not-son is rattling around in the bed of a 1979 Ford F-150 heading anywhere but Gotham, New Jersey. Wayne money and Bat technology can't find him, but he's got a bug-eyed shadow and a raw Robin-shaped wound to haul across the continental United States.

Summary
Damian was close to presenting. Jason could tell because the little shit had been trying to chew his way through his leather glove to get at his scent gland for the past five minutes. It was making the stake out he was supposed to be on a little difficult.
…
Robin, on the cusp of his first rut, seeks out Red Hood out of all of the Bats. Jason feels entirely unqualified for this.
Things escalate from there.

Summary
Just fucking fuck. Dick didn’t even do anything, so what the hell is wrong with him, spazzing out at nothing, at his first chance at a little fun. He imagines what he must have looked like through Dick's eyes and can vividly picture what he saw: Jason acting so scared and helpless and weak and stupid and—just—fucking —Goddamnit.
Or, Jason isn't sleeping, Dick doesn't know what to do, and Tim just doesn't want to get shot at (again).
