“He’s not sleeping.” Shane flares his nostrils—another gesture Yuna hasn’t seen in so many years. “He’s waiting for me to call a third time. Mom. Please. He’s—he’ll be so worried.”
Yuna shifts her thumb and lets it drop. Is Yuna a bad mother if she hopes "Lily" doesn’t pick up?

Summary
On July 4, 2018, Ilya announces to the world that he has already played his last home game on Boston Raider ice. He's an Ottawa Centaur now, for better or for worse.
Most all of Boston Twitter agrees it's for worse.
Shane Hollander, watching alone on his couch at the cottage that Ilya just left a few days ago, knows it's for the better. And he thinks he knows that Ilya thinks it's for the better too, that Ilya's excited for the move, excited to be closer to Shane. It's just hard to remember that when Ilya looks so distracted and sad in the wake of the news breaking.
But one day, Shane's going to promise this man that he'll be there for him through better or worse, so he may as well start practicing now.

Then, before Shane could react, Rozanov's other hand came up and pressed firmly against the fresh bruise blooming across his ribs from where he’d been crushed into the boards. Shane sucked in a sharp breath, body jerking on instinct.
“Jesus—”
“Yeah,” Rozanov said quietly, watching him. “This one hurt, yes? You whimpered so pretty for me against the boards, Hollander. Almost had to take you right there on the ice.”
Shane’s back hit the wall behind him as he tried to pull away, breath going tight and uneven. “You fucking dick,” he gritted out.
