It’s hard to forget that this train wouldn’t have been necessary twenty years ago, when the Rapture was still a relatively small, radioactive swamp with blood-red mire and frogs with a croak like congested veins. No one really knows what the fuck went wrong, just that within the space of half a decade, it was suddenly miles wide and contained nothing but dead black trees and bubbling ooze, a big red lake and enough radiation to melt the skin clean off your bones.
