    A young Beastwoman stared back at him. She was clearly of noble lineage, dressed in an elaborate green gown, with her dark hair pinned neatly behind her ears. She looked pretty and confident, like nothing had or could ever ruffle her.

    Ruggie looked at the accompanying papers.

    On one, a typewritten profile. Age. Family. Education. Personality. The details were listed briefly and matter-of-factly, but they were impressive — she’d studied diplomacy and three foreign languages, as well as a variety of performing arts.

    The other was a handwritten letter. In neat, elegant script, it wrote:

    It is with great honour that I submit my daughter’s name for consideration as a potential partner to His Highness, Prince Leona Kingscholar of Sunset Savanna…

    Ruggie stopped reading.

    Oh.

    Oh.

    Or: Leona starts getting engagement offers through the mail. For some reason, Ruggie isn't so keen to pass on the message.

    Jason Todd has life figured out. He spends Sunday mornings at brunch with his Mo--Selina, weekdays studying English at Gotham U, and nights patrolling the streets of Crime Alley as Red Hood.

    He died awhile ago, but he's healing. He's moving past his trauma. Using kinky sex as a coping mechanism totally isn't going to backfire. Because Officer Grayson is responsible. He won't let anything bad happen to Jason. He's an upstanding citizen. The best civilian hookup an anti-hero could ask for.

    So yeah, Jason's life is nearly perfect. Except for the fact that fucking Nightwing won't lay off him about the killing.
