Summary
Doctor Strange’s final amnesia spell was supposed to rewrite the global consciousness. It was supposed to leave Peter Parker completely alone in a universe that had forgotten he ever existed.
What the Sorcerer Supreme didn’t account for, however, was basic quantum mechanics. Or the fact that you can’t wipe a multiversal genetic connection with a little localized magic.
Three weeks post-movie, Peter-One is trying to survive the deafening silence of a depressing studio apartment when reality literally tears open. Two alternate versions of himself tumble onto his linoleum floor with a smoking piece of Stark tech, a lot of highly sophisticated duct tape, and an absolute refusal to let him be angsty by himself.
Now, they have a one-way ticket, a terrible blueprint, and a mission: march right back to the Sanctum Sanctorum and aggressively annoy a wizard until he fixes their multiversal data roaming plans.

“None of them, give me a recap. Twenty seconds max.”
“Okay, okay, okay. I found an alien glowy thingy and I would like to say that I know for sure that it won’t blow up, but I don’t, because it really looks like it might blow up.”
“Kid. For the love of— Are you carrying it around?”
“Uuuhhh,” Peter says, like he’s really looking for a reason to say ‘no’. “Yes…?”

He forces his lips to part, slow and measured, the way he does in media interviews when a question lands too close to the truth. “I’ve been on the same protocol for years. There haven’t been any issues. I just need a refill.”
“There haven’t been any reported issues,” she corrects, folding her hands. “Shane, you haven’t let your body regulate since you were eleven. You’ve gone through over seventy suppressed cycles, and your hormone levels are showing signs of—”
“I don’t care.”
“You should.”
“I said I don’t care.” His voice is flat, sharp. “I have a game in forty-eight hours.” -

Summary
“You are planning to rob me or what?” He hears Rozanov call, and he can’t help but smile slightly even as he rolls his eyes, closing the door to the linen closet and feeling strangely lighter than when he opened it, reassured that he’s just trying to read into a blank page, that today doesn’t mean anything more than Rozanov doesn’t mind him being around, which is strangely flattering.
“I don’t know,” he calls back. “Don’t Russians like diamonds and fur and stuff? Where should I start looking if I want to know what my options are?”
He hears Rozanov laugh, and it makes him smile.
When he joins him in the living room once more, Rozanov tugs him down to lean against him again. Shane goes easier this time, settling into it, knowing it doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that he just happens to be the closest warm body, the person on Rozanov’s roster who filled today’s slot.
