Summary
I stared in awe as huge iridescent wings slowly emerged from the arch of his back. Moonbeams hit his wings as he let them reach their full length, causing spots of color to dance around the clearing. He turns around, a faint smile etched upon his freckled face, and met my gaze with his.
The smile instantly disappears.
“Hi..”

The creature seemed nervous with its flush face and fidgety fingers, and yet its jade eyes are still fixated on me. ‘Was it all an act?’ I wondered, ‘What if it's playing a game with me right before it goes in for the kill?’ I narrowed my eyes as I took another step back.
“Would you believe me if I said what you saw was a trick of the light?”

Summary
“Ten billion percent success! The docking went off without a hitch.” Senkuu's voice tried to sound serene amidst the excitement of breaking through the atmosphere. The ground team shouted in celebration of humanity's collective effort. Xeno was the first to respond to the transmission, asking about the rocket’s condition.
But there was no response.
Seconds later, Senkuu's voice was heard again. “…you'd expect a bigger reaction from Team Earth, right?” He mumbled a few unintelligible words before his voice went silent. “…our radio… I can't hear a thing!”
In that catastrophic situation, there was only one person with courage and ambition enough to volunteer for the task of traveling to space to aid the crew.
"I will do it." Said Ryuusui, a loud snap of his fingers was heard. “I will board Unit 4 and deliver the necessary parts to the ship.”

“I’m not pining,” Ryusui mutters.
“You’re pining,” Chrome says, dropping into a nearby chair. “You’re being all broody.”
“How am I being broody? I’m fine. Look at me, being fine.”
“You have tragic protagonist energy right now,” Gen says, matter-of-fact. “All that staring off into the middle distance and sighing? It’s like reading Jane Austen. Honestly, I thought you were gonna be the suave one in the group.”
Ryusui groans, leaning his head back against the chair. “I am the suave one.”
“Then go be suave at Ukyo if you want to smooch him that bad,” Chrome says, as if it’s obvious.
“He might be in love with Sai,” Ryusui says miserably, and yeah, okay, maybe he’s a sad sack.

Ryusui's twenty-nine, and the world is rebuilding. He's also in love with Ukyo, but Ukyo's spending a lot of time with Sai, and Ryusui's not sure what to do. Three of the Five Wise Generals are unhelpful.

"I'm Rin," he says, giving Hiori a shy wave. "I love you."
Hiori's jaw slackens to the floor. "What the fuck?"
or, when the black cat that hangs around hiori’s store accidentally crashes into his still-brewing love potion, it reveals itself to be something more—not the furry friend hiori thought it was, but rather, a six-foot-something guy with striking teal eyes and power stronger than he could ever imagine.
oh, and the guy is kind of in love with him now, but that’s a minor blip.
