A month ago, Aang was a perfectly normal teenaged air monk doing perfectly normal teenaged air monk things. Like meditating on the complexities of attachment and playing flirty games at wind festivals. Now he's the Avatar, it's apparently a hundred years in the crappy future, and there's an angry fire guy trying to kidnap him.
Clearly there's only one reasonable response to this situation. And flirting with a guy to throw him off balance in a fight couldn't possibly result in anybody catching weird feelings. Even if you do it repeatedly. Even after you sort of accidentally save each other's lives a bunch. Right?
