That he’s an omega they’re not keen on marrying off to some house that’s beneath them so they’re lying about it.”He hums, eyes in the distance again, trying to see where the prince had gone but finding nary a trace of him. If they truly are hiding that he is an omega then they are doing an admirable job of it. Especially considering the scent of him that had had Dunk fighting hard not to bristle.
“I can imagine why.”

Summary
Ser Duncan meant trouble. Maekar knew from the moment he laid his eyes on the huge alpha who seemingly wrapped everyone around his finger with his humble and dorkish ways. Still, the omega managed to accept this new addition to the house, albeit with suspicion. But when the knight was getting too close to his oldest pup, Maekar didn't waste time showing him that even his patience had its limits.
Only for him to realize it was never Daeron who the knight was seeking out.

Summary
Egg had thought his father would ask Duncan to marry him – make him a legal part of the family so he could always stay with them. To pup his Ser and not even send a bit of help, to not entreat Duncan to stay at Summerhall for his pregnancy – that was a cruelty that Egg couldn’t envision his father undertaking. But here they were, his Ser feeding a chunky babe at his breast while he visibly tried to find a way to refuse to return to their home.

Aerion Targaryen was currently far too focused on the figure before him, Duncan Pennytree had become a mystery he was determined to solve :
« I don't understand. I mean, look at me, my beauty is living proof that God exists »
He turned to the members of his small council, composed of Daeron Targaryen, Tybolt Lannister, Valarr Targaryen and Kiera of Tyrosh, before continuing :
« So explain to me why this mere peasant, Duncan Pennytree, isn't attracted to me ? »
Valarr Targaryen crossed his arms and offered a suggestion :
« Perhaps Duncan isn't drawn to a person's looks, but to their personality ? »
The room fell silent, awaiting a rational reaction from the young Targaryen, perhaps even a moment of introspection. However, everyone knew his temperament all too well and his reply surprised no one :
« Oh yeah, it’s true that when I had sex with that other guy last time, what really struck me was his inner richness... Got any other bullshit excuses ? »
