Ch8 is next
Hic meets a mysterious dragon rider in a white armor with a white fury during a saving-dragons-raid. From then on he keeps looking for the pair and pair keeps looking for him. They catch up to eachother and start sporadically meeting. Btw, the fury can turn invisible ig? And jack seems to be not entirely human.
In the last chap (ch7), Jack was flying above Berk when the local vikings decided that tgey will catch the ghost. Moony (the white fury) is tangled in some nets and Jack has to do an emergency landing. Hic comes to help them and learns jacks name finally but ofc he doesn't believe him. They talk, Jack is suspicious of Hic, he of Jack and then Jack flies off bcs other dragon riders come close.
Hic tgen has a talk™ with Valka about Jack and turns out she knows him! Based on when and how Valka and Jack parted and some other evidence, there might be a tiny bity misunderstanding (Hic killed his mom and took all of her dragons) so V&H decide to talk with Jack the day after -
