Summary
"There was a man lying in the middle of the Hail Mary’s lab.
Normally, this wouldn’t be too unusual – Grace did dumb human things like that from time to time – but this human wasn’t Grace."
OR: During his portal years, Ford Pines winds up on the Hail Mary during its journey to Erid.
(Written for the tumblr sexyman 2026 semifinal match between Ford and Ryland.)

“How do you do it?”
“Do what?” is his soft reply, even though she’s sure he knows what she’s talking about.
She clarifies anyway. “How do you keep going when… when you know you’re the last one left? When everyone else… everyone else is…?”
He gives her a sad, knowing smile. His eyes sparkle with unshed emotions, and they are deep and fathomless and yet still human enough for Natasha to see herself in them. “You keep on going,” he tells her (and she knows, with that look on his face, that he’s speaking from experience), “because you know it’s what they’d want you to do.”
------
A brief look at Natasha and Stephen, before and after they meet, and how they handle being the last ones alive from their respective universes.

Something – or someone – follows America through one of her portals accidentally, and starts haunting the Sanctum Sanctorum.
(Danny would just like to go home, please – but he’s justifiably a little afraid of approaching the sorcerers and outright asking for help.)

Summary
"When a star-shaped hole in the multiverse appears in his self-imposed prison of a destroyed universe, Stephen’s first thought is, 'Oh, shit, here we go again'."
Instead of ending up in the universe of Defender Strange, America Chavez winds up in the world of Strange Supreme, and ends up dragging him into the events of Multiverse of Madness. This changes... well, a lot, actually. Stephen has to deal with meeting another version of himself, a secret organization that thinks they know everything, and a demon chasing the multiverse-hopping kid he may or may not want to adopt when this is all over. By the Vishanti, where was Uatu when you needed him?

“I will save the miracle,” Mirabel declares aloud. She looks around her room, and notes the time – two minutes before midnight. “…Tomorrow,” she decides, and climbs into bed.

(The events of Encanto, but stretched out across a Groundhog Day-style time loop AU. Mirabel gets there, eventually, it just takes a couple of tries - and maybe a bit of help from her weird uncle who's been living in the walls.)

Summary
As it was and as it always will be, Sisyphus — god-chainer, death-cheater, craftiest among men — toils away pushing that boulder up that hill for all of eternity. A universal law, a constant, as paramount as the speed of light in a vacuum.
This, too, stays true and constant: any cartoon worth their salt knows to keep a good, respectable distance from those two desert-dwelling weirdos.
OR: Wile. E. and Road Runner are strange to viewing eyes.

Summary
Wile E. Coyote is a genius. He has spent his entire life finding every solution to any mathematical problem. Every formula has its own rules. Every force has its own law. Every answer has an equation.
But after years of chasing the shadow of a blue bird, who seems to defy every rule of physics, Wile E. finds himself faced with a question he cannot solve through numbers.
What are binary stars?
And what makes two bodies remain in orbit?
And why does every answer lead him back to the Roadrunner?
