Summary
In a world without an Avatar, the war was brought to an end through battle and treachery. The Fire Nation Royal Family is finished, its members either dead or living contentedly in exile. But legends persist that the youngest princess survived- legends that a certain Water Tribe genius named Sokka can use to make himself a fortune. He just has to find the right girl to become the infamous Princess Azula.
He succeeds a little too well.
(Basically, all those 'Anastasia' movies but the princess hijacks the con, plus Sokkla. Based on an idea by PrivateFire.)

Maiko Stories That Theoretically Share a Continuity But Don't Like to Make Eye-Contact with Each Other by Loopy
Fandom Avatar: The Last Airbender
05 Jun 2021
Summary
Like it says, these Maiko stories all happen together. But their ties are limited to very vague references and they're all designed to be stand-alone stories. The shared continuity is just a little bonus for people who like that kind of thing, and if you squint there's even a bit of an overall progression.

As the war entered its ninth decade, the passing of the Earth Avatar within the walls of Ba Sing Se went unnoticed. After all, the Avatar's identity was something only the Avatar himself had known. No one knew to look for a new Avatar among the children of the Fire Nation.
