Summary
Life is full of choices, some are good, some are bad, some are voluntary, some are not. No matter what your choice may be, life keeps moving forward. For a man who wants to live his life with no regrets, some choices are harder than others, some require absolutely no thought, while some require days of contemplation.
Ace knew leaving home to become a pirate was going to bring him many choices, becoming a pirate was already one of them, being Captain of said pirate crew came with many more choices. Some were simple, some were tough, some were confusing. One choice he didn't expect to have very little say on, was nearly falling in love at first sight. Another choice he was forced to make was allowing the bud of new life to blossom, or burn it under his own hand. Both choices on love and life were extremes, one was a very easy answer, the other took time to settle into.
After everything was said and done, he couldn't find it in him to regret anything. Seeing the way his life moved on, the way his choices took shape, opened more doors, gave more opportunities, closed others, settled dark thoughts in his mind. All of it, even through the pain and sorrow, allowed him to feel more, have more, enjoy more. Live more.
