“Can you fix this?”
The kid was holding up a stuffy. It was a teddy bear, brown fur and orange ears and paws. One of its arms was half ripped off, white stuffing spilling out.
“What makes you think I can fix that?” Jason asked, more baffled than anything else.
The kid was what? Seven? Eight? Didn’t children usually ask their teachers for things like this and not random older students?
“Because you’re Robin,” the kid said matter-of-factly. “You can fix anything.”

Summary
But Jack had made a mistake, you see. What he meant to say was “bad children deserve to be punished.” But instead, he had said that “bad people” deserved to be punished. Tim, who loved detective stories and read the newspaper every day to hear about Batman, thought a lot about bad people and making sure the right people got punished for the right things. So, while he sat locked in his room, a radical new idea popped into Tim’s head:
What if children could punish their parents?
--
In which Tim goes to a new school, meets new friends, and helps to right a grave injustice that happened just next door many years ago.
