3 juillet 1998 : ministère de la magie
Avant : Hermione était encore très émue et bouleversée. Elle avait été la dernière à témoigner dans le procès de Drago Malefoy. Assise à côté de Ron et Harry, le très court réquisitoire du chef sorcier venait tout juste de se terminer et Malefoy était en train de se lever pour s’exprimer à son tour.
Après : Hermione est hébétée, sidérée, la main sur sa bouche pour ne pas vomir. Ron et Harry ne semblaient pas avoir compris tous les détails de la plaidoirie de Malefoy, mais elle l’avait fait et elle était anéantie.

Summary
What if Snape had agreed to become the Head of Slytherin House, not because Dumbledore wanted him to, but because he wanted to save Slytherin? What if he used his cunning to reform the house right under Dumbledore's nose?
He could save some of the Slytherins from the mistakes he made. He could find the ones who wanted to walk away and help them. And if he created in them a house loyalty deeper than their loyalty to Voldemort, the ones who wouldn’t walk away might be able to save each other in the end. The first step was to keep them from becoming willing slaves while here at Hogwarts.
Severus knew from his own years here that Slytherins were happiest when they were plotting. The problem was that Hogwarts wasn’t structured to give them drama, so they had had to create it. If he could keep them busy with other things, they might learn how to focus their energy. The House Cup had long since lost its allure as it was biased, so he would have to create other challenges for them. After all these bitter years, he had nothing kind left in him, but in the end, the choice was easy. He did it for her. Because it was something she would want him to do if she still lived.

Summary
When Harry Potter's Hogwarts letter raises red flags for Severus Snape, he delivers the letter instead of letting Dumbledore handle it. Severus does not see a miniature James Potter when he encounters the scrawny child, drowning in clothes that don't fit and holding himself carefully away from his aunt like she might strike him at any moment. Severus is reminded only of himself.
Severus's choice to rescue Harry might damn him when Voldemort returns, or it might change everything.

Summary
Harry has his horrible vision of Nagini attacking Mr. Weasley. Instead of being sent off to Grimmauld Place immediately like in the book he's sent off to learn Occulmency immediately like in the movie.
But Severus Snape is not ready to teach him. Figuratively and literally. The Potions Master is in his own dreamworld and gets summoned out of bed at 3AM so he can instruct the whelp in the art of shielding the mind.
It's a nightmare to say the least.
