    “I’m here, you’re alright,” a new, heavily accented voice came from somewhere behind him. It sounded really far away, but suddenly strong, steady hands were on his back. “I need to cut the seatbelt to get you out.”
    Shane wanted to talk, wanted to nod and say that he understood, but he felt like a sack of bones, unable to get his voice to work, or his body to co-operate. Shane was distantly aware of being cut loose, of being caught as he sagged forward. He gasped at the pain when his shoulder landed against something soft.

    It’s only after his face begins to sting that Shane has two realizations at once: the first, his body has gone completely rigid, dick spurting come into his shorts; the second, his hand has flown out unconsciously, landing a blow of its own.

    Shane likes getting hit in the face, it’s just—usually he’s restrained when it happens. So it’s a shock to them both when they realize Shane has hit Ilya back.

    or, shane enjoys toeing the line of what’s allowed, likes tracing along the edges of ilya’s patience and finding the boundary there. he hasn’t succeeded in pushing ilya over the edge yet, but he will.
