“You celebrating Valentine’s with your old men?” Trinity asks Dennis as they sit in the couch and watching some sitcom.
Dennis stays silent and bites his lip.
Do I even have a place to celebrate such occasion with a married couple? Dennis thinks to himself as he continues watching the sitcom while Trinity looks at him in confusion.
Dennis has been sleeping with the married couple, Jack and Robby for almost 7 months now. It consists of them having dinner, having sex and Dennis leaving in the middle of the night and the two old men don’t even chase after him. It was obvious, he had no place in the relationship.
Or; It’s almost Valentine’s Day and Dennis has been dreading it. He figures he’s going to spend the day alone anyway.

"What do you mean, you're leaving?" Robby asked, his voice coming out tight. It felt like all the oxygen had been sucked from the room, that everything he needed to function was being pulled away by a cruel god.
The only thing he had been looking forward to at the end of his sabbatical was reuniting with Jack, and now Jack was telling him that he would be leaving too.
"It's just a guest teaching role; I'll be back in six months." Six. Months. He said it like it was nothing, like Robby was being unreasonable.
"It's all the way in fucking Australia! Couldn't you have found a teaching position closer?" Or not decided to leave at all? Panicked claws wanted to dig in tight, to make it so Jack couldn't pull away without damage to both sides, instead of just to Robby.
