If Dick pretended hard enough, he hoped to forget that his uncle flipped a coin and then beat him black and blue the other day.
He could pretend the man in front of him didn't have half his face burned with acid and then take a court room hostage just a few days after getting out of the hospital. He can pretend he is not currently in an orange jumpsuit on the wrong side of the Arkham visitation ward.
Maybe he can even pretend the man still is his Uncle Harvey fully.

Hope was a thing impossible to have in a place like Gotham. It was sucked out of you if you stayed long enough, Jason had lost all his hope somewhere in between Shelia's third cigarette and the explosion that would kill both of them just some minutes later.
