Summary
Captain America: The First Avenger AU.
Hydra wanted another Red Skull.
Instead, they took a twelve-year-old boy from Queens.
One year later, Peter Parker is sent to assassinate Dr. Abraham Erskine before the Super Soldier Serum can create Captain America.
He fails.
Dr. Erskine survives. Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. During the chase that follows, Steve catches a glimpse of the assassin beneath the goggles and mask. Not a hardened Hydra operative. Not a monster.
A child.
For the next two years, while the world sees Captain America hunting Hydra’s deadliest weapon, Steve and the Howling Commandos are trying to save the fifteen-year-old boy determined to kill them before Hydra punishes him for failing.
Because the greatest weapon Hydra ever created was never meant to be a soldier.
It was a child.
