    While the machine known as V1 was skilled in combat, it was not as skilled at breaking its own protocols. Sadly, this seems to be the main thing its new Admin, the innumerable Terminals that litter hell, want the war machine to try its many hands at.
    During its descent into hell (and possibly sentience) V1 will have to balance keeping itself alive, its systems in check, and its admin entertained while learning as much about its new environment as possible.
    Because just maybe, hidden somewhere in this trove of theological torment is the key to escaping this centuries long cycle of violence.
    At least for it. Everybody else can go to hell.

    THIS FIC IS NOT ABANDONED OR ON HIATUS. I AM JUST VERY SLOW.

    The King's claws scratched gently at the nape of Derek's neck.

    The gesture was undeniably possessive. It should have made him pull away. It would have only a few weeks ago.

    Instead, Derek found himself leaning into the touch.

    "You spend your entire lives so desperate to be understood," The King murmured. "Then recoil the moment something finally does."

     


    After the failed ritual leaves him bound to the King in Yellow, Derek becomes the center of a hidden war between cults, government agencies, and eldritch powers far beyond human comprehension. While the world grows steadily stranger, Derek finds himself growing closer to the being responsible for most of his suffering.

    Apparently, that feeling is mutual.

    Or

    A story about possession (both literal and figurative), what it means to be human, and the terrible realization that being wanted by an eldritch horror is at least still want.
