Summary
Jude joined Borussia Dortmund in late 2022, when Haaland had already left for Manchester City. Although he was known across Europe, he was still far from reaching the level of the greatest legends and his own idol.
Everything changed during the 2026 World Cup, when England faced Norway and won 2–1 before being eliminated by Argentina. There, Jude got to see Haaland, one of his idols, up close, but his admiration kept him from approaching him to say hello.
Thanks to the World Cup, Jude gained popularity and began attending galas and parties. At one of them, held at the Shellona beach club, where Erling was celebrating his birthday, the two crossed paths once again. Amid lingering glances and pheromones, the tension between them eventually led to a wild night aboard the Norwegian's private yacht.
By the following morning, Erling had one thing clear in his mind: he wasn't going to let the alpha who had left him completely intoxicated slip away so easily.

“I’m telling you, Jude. He’s got a thing for Haaland.” Trent stared through the screen with a dead serious expression, his usually comforting brown eyes wide and filled with irritation.
“Mhmmmm..” Jude tried with all his willpower to not smirk at that.
“He does!” He was waving his free hand about, as if trying to emphasise his point. “He hugged him for a solid 15 seconds and then continued to have a chat with him whilst ignoring the rest of his team, who were actually supposed to be the ones celebrating with him!”

Jobe stares at Carney.
“Doing what?”
“Pushing me away every time I get close, then come looking for me when the distance starts bothering you.”
Jobe opens his mouth, but Carney keeps going.
“You need to decide what you want from me.”
That was precisely the part Jobe didn't know how to do.
Or: Jobe Bellingham spends his whole life learning how to control his own instincts. Then Carney Chukwuemeka arrives at Dortmund and becomes the first alpha whose scent doesn’t bother him. Jobe does what any reasonable person would do: tries to figure out why.
The problem is that figuring it out means getting closer. And getting closer means finding out that maybe Carney's scent is the least complicated part of the story.
When understanding Carney stops being a curiosity and starts demanding answers Jobe doesn't have, there's one last indignity left: admitting that Erling Haaland might actually have something useful to say.
