Summary
“Not every alpha is a prick. You know that, don’t you?”
“I know,” Louis confirms with a sigh. The alpha’s hand is still playing with his hair. He does know. It doesn’t change anything. “I just can’t see the good side. I can’t.”
“The sex is pretty great.” It’s cocky, paired with a lopsided, shit-eating grin.
or, Louis has never been with an alpha before, has never wanted to. His best friend, Harry, offers to show him what he's missing after yet another beta breaks his heart.

Summary
You’re the love of my life.
Harry felt a lump form in his throat. He could still hear those words so clearly, even after four decades.
He loved Scott. Of course he did. Loving Scott had always been easy. He had given Harry three incredible children and the life he’d always dreamed of. But something had always been missing.
For years and years, Harry tried to tell himself that this was it. That it was enough. Everything he ever wanted. That the before didn’t matter anymore. But the truth was, no matter where he was or what he accomplished, part of him always wondered what it would’ve been like if he’d done it all with him. Louis.
The love of his life.
or: An introspective view on Harry's life, inspired by "2053" by Bellah Mae

Summary
“How many tattoos do you have?”
Louis laughed. He hadn't expected that question.
“Twenty-eight,” he lied, trying to keep a straight face. The truth was, he was long past twenty-eight but had stopped counting long ago.
“You’re taking the piss.”
Louis sighed, glancing through his eyelashes. “I don’t know. I stopped counting. But I definitely hit twenty-eight over two decades ago.”
Greg nodded. “Interesting. Which one is your favourite?”
Louis pursed his lips, thinking about his reply. He didn’t feel very comfortable with the question since most of his tattoos were a story he had written together with his first love. He didn’t really want to dive into it with his possible new partner.
“Uhm, they all have their own story.”
Greg hummed but didn’t press further. He seemed to sense that Louis wasn’t comfortable with talking about them too much. “I really like the compass.”
or: After decades of self-discovery, Louis finally tries to move on from his first love.
