Summary
From the time Charlie was 13, he heard many stories about his uncle, Michael Westen, and how he used to be a spy. Michael and Fiona's daughter, Claire, also grew up with those stories. Raised in that household, they learned tradecraft practically at their mother's knee, so it's no surprise that they want to go into the family business of taking on jobs to help people, even if sometimes the methods get a little outside the law.
Charlie prefers to do his work from behind the safety of a screen, and he becomes an expert hacker. He happens to make an online friend, who happens to be in a similar line of work, providing people with Leverage to help take down big companies that are screwing people over. Hardison and Charlie become friends, and then start helping each other with jobs.
One day, the leverage crew need an extra grifter, and Charlie suggests Claire. The meeting starts out well until Eliot gets suspicious that there's something off about the two, and he's determined to protect his family from the potential threat.

It’s very, very casual and very versatile; it's not special. Some people use it when they're gearing up for a fight 😂 like "oh yeah Habibi?!" Fists up a-hole!!! Like it can mean babe, or honey, or you fucker, or are-you-trying-to-charge-me-extra-for-2-kilos-of-tomato?-fuck-you, or what-do-mean-your-mom-sent-us-dinner-again?-are-you-complaining-about-my-cooking-to-her? 👀👀 In general, there’s an incredibly passive aggressive energy it holds.
So this language plot-hole fixit got stuck in my head and wouldn’t leave. This is how Joe started calling Nicky “habibi,” and how the word became theirs.

Dan gets outed on stage. It's like the world misses a beat, and no one but Phil got tripped up by it. It's Dan's boyfriend that does it, an idiot if Phil's ever seen one, some kind of actor who's buff and puts his foot in his mouth in ways that constantly border on offensive. He drops a careless comment about their relationship, and Phil watches Dan's entire world shatter in the way his face freezes.
He tries not to know him, he really does. Tries to look at the TV and see a stranger, see a tool to be entertained by, the way the rest of the world clearly does, but he can't. It jumps out at him in clear view, sharp HD, all the ways in which he knows Dan. The dimples on his face, the laughter lines under his eyes, etched there by Phil, the fight or flight reflex paralysing him.
