Both of them laugh at the unusual proposal, but their faces shine with happiness. And Cellbit feels like this is the best choice he has ever made in his life.
Suddenly, a donut is placed in his free hand, and when he turns around, Felps is there, smiling at him as he suggests this as a temporary ring for them.
Roier laughed at the suggestion, but he didn't say anything when Cellbit slowly placed the donut hole in his ring finger, just like how you would with a real ring, and both of them couldn't help but giggle at the exchange, and maybe from their newfound happiness as well.

Him being a dedicated and cautious soldier, he presented himself as he was no longer. That part of him died a long time ago, and now bloomed into the feeble, gentle soul he always had been.
It almost felt like the world stopped for them. That the crickets silenced their harmony to witness the two. The water clashed down on the grass in a repetitive manner, like it was always supposed to be there. As did everything else. Had this been the way it was always going to be?
