Summary
Tim had spent most of his life in foster care, now attending GSU, he just wanted to get through his Bachelors, live quietly with his cat, Todd, and be grateful every day for endless coffee supplied by his coffee shop job.
At least that was the plan till he came home from a late night shift at said coffee shop to one of Gotham's most notorious vigilantes passed out against his door.
Tim chose to blame his lack of survival skills on not being raised in Gotham and pointedly ignored his cat's judgmental gaze when he dragged the unconscious man inside.
Hopefully, the only trigger happy vigilante in Gotham didn't see fit to point the barrel in Tim's direction.

Summary
After Cass saves Tim in Paris, Ra's decides that he's sick of her interference in his plans and blasts her with a magical artifact to get rid of her for good. Tim jumps in front of the beam, and now both of them are trapped in an alternate universe.
...An alternate universe that is disturbingly soft and well-adjusted. The people are happy there. From their perspective, Cass and Tim come from some sort of crazed apocalyptic wasteland.

Summary
The family works through road bumps, as the custody case finally seems to be going their way. And Dick start planning for what his future will look like now that he's raising Tim.
The move would be another big change. But both therapists agreed it should be a good one. Giving Tim a say in where would help too, show him that Dick is planning the future with Tim in mind.
“Woah.” Tim looks around the spacious main room.
Dick agrees. It’s a nice apartment. A nice spacious living area, big windows, four beds, two and a half baths, one of those being an ensuite. It has a nice spacious outdoor area; Dick could have some deck furniture and a barbeque. There was a park nearby Dick could see from the balcony, and it was closer to Gotham.
Bruce liked the attached empty building that was meant to become shop space but had been abandoned at some point when Dick had stopped the mob planning to use it for money laundering.
“Do you want to go check out the rooms?” Dick asks.
Tim nods, heading to the hall, tugging Dick along. “Yeah.”
