It's 2am. Will Byers is pulling an accidental all-nighter to study for his upcoming philosophy test when his phone buzzes, twice.
Two texts, one from his clingy not-boyfriend Carlton asking for nudes, and the other from his childhood best friend and ex secret-rendezvous Mike Wheeler asking for the notes for the philosophy test. Exhausted, Will sends both boys exactly what they're asking for.
Except, when he checks his phone, he realizes he accidentally sent the nude to Mike and the notes to Carlton. His heart drops. He tries to explain the situation and smooth things over, but it's too late. Mike is already on his way over.

Mike was his muse. Will was obsessed with drawing him. One day Mike asks to see his drawings, and Will hands him the wrong sketchbook. He had meant to give him his school sketchbook filled with class assignments. Stupidly, he never labeled his personal one and handed it to Mike, his personal sketchbook full of Mike Wheeler sketches.

“If only they made, like… spiked blood. Then you could just drink the blood but get drunk. Like when I spike my drinks,” Will hums, burrowing into the covers. And then it hits him. “Spiked blood! You can drink my blood. I’m drunk, so basically, I am the spiked blood.”
Will is giddy with his idea, and when Mike approaches him, he reaches out to tug Mike onto the bed. Mike goes willingly, settling beside Will and then breathing out a quiet, oh, when Will immediately clambers into his lap. Will pulls at the collar of his shirt, exposing his neck for Mike.
“Drink. I’m drunk, so then you’ll be drunk too.”

“What is this?” he chokes out.
