Summary
Stark got to the kid a month into their training together. He was starstruck, and ran to gush to Matt before heading off to Germany.
“You did what? He did what? You’re going where?”
“I couldn’t exactly say no. And he gave me this suit!”
“Have you even read the Accords?”
“Uh… Accords?”
“Right. Come on. We’re going to see Foggy.”
“Oh, Pete.” Foggy said. “You know he can’t legally do that, right? You don’t have to go with him if you don’t want to.”
“But I do. Kind of. It’s Mr. Stark. He’s a hero.”
“Hmmm. Matty, get out the big binder. We’re doing this properly.”
Peter goes to try and stop civil war. It goes predictably badly. He's going to need a lawyer

Summary
Peter Parker is a self sacrificing teenager. 14 with dead parents, dead uncle, and now a dead aunt. Foster care is rough, rougher than being Spider-Man ever was. With his friends ignored, and almost total isolation Peter Parker assures himself that he mustn't be the only Parker left.
But he's not even a Parker.
—————————
Peter knows he’s selfish. Knows how incredibly selfish it is to want to drag a man into this. Into his life. Into the fucked up things he has going on. But the man should know right? He deserves to know that he has a child out there.Peter pushes down the whimper he feels at the man’s expression. It changed from assessment to pity in an instant. “Hello Mr. Matt Murdock! In college you had relations with a certain Mary Fitzpatrick, later renamed Mary Parker.”
Matt’s grip tightens on the desk he was lax resting against. He swallows thickly.
“She had a son. And uh.. Might be fifteen years late on the announcement but um..” Peter shuffles awkwardly. “Hi, I'm Peter Parker, and I'm pretty sure you're my dad.”

Summary
Percy was four years old the first time his dreams led him to his many-great-grandmother’s chambers- a woman long dead yet somehow still seated in front of him, fingers grasping at her hair tightly as she wails about a wooden horse on the beach while her servants look on in pity. He feels the weight of something ancient and heavy settle on his shoulders in that moment.
He was in his 1st grade classroom when his teacher screamed at him for making up lies about gods and monsters and scaring the other children. He was eight when his mother's own visions become too much for her to bear.
He's at Yancy when Grover Underwood finally finds him and says "I believe you" for the first time. And as Percy begins to feel lighter, that ancient weight that has followed him his whole life slowly dissipating, he realizes that being believed can be just as horrifying as being thought mad.
